A Carpet Clean For All Seasons
Our cat decided out of the blue that she would spend the day in the laundry tub. She’s never done it before as far as we’re aware and may never do it again, however, on that particular day it seemed the correct thing to do. We were treated with suspicious looks when we had to even walk past the laundry tub. Perhaps we were the weirdos for not joining in with the whole laundry tub spirit.
The cat is usually a creature of habit, we know when we wake up it’s time to feed her, she rarely uses her litter tray and Barbara from number 7 told us that she likes to go to the toilet in the soft soil of the herb garden. (the cat not Barbara) She will generally have a long tough day of doing not much apart from sitting in the sun and hiding (she’s not very good at this in fairness) from passers by, so that she can see them but they can’t see her. When we get home from work, she’ll come in for another feeding and then nip off out to either fight the cat down the road, sit on top of the work van or again “hide” from those who are walking past.
Creature of habit with some natural instincts. Every now and again, we’re treated to a mouse or a lizard in the house. She more often than not loses these as she’s a bit deaf, a lot blind and lets face it quite easily outsmarted by a mouse.
It made me think though about our habits and our beliefs and to a certain extent our natural instincts and how these impact on our carpet cleaning choices. Traditionally carpet cleaning was not something you would have done in the wintertime. There was always the perception that you needed some heat in order to have a good drying day and have the carpets dry. Chem-Dry uses about 1/10th of the water of traditional steam cleaning. Whilst steam cleaning has come a long way and there are now a lot of skilled technicians the long dry times associated with traditional steam cleaning is enough to stop a carpet cleaning decision in many cases.
Chem-Dry is drier, we work on drying times of 1 to 2 hours, walk on dry immediately. So, don’t stress about having the carpets cleaned in winter time, they’ll still dry quickly. With spring cleaning coming up and then the silly season just around the corner, now is as good a time as any to have your carpets and upholstery cleaned.
The Chem in Chem-Dry stands for chemistry, because we take a scientific approach to ensuring your floor and furniture are at their very best.
